Happy Anniversary!!!

Happy Anniversary to us! One fabulous year down and infinity to go! Our first year of marriage has been absolutely wonderful. It seems like our wedding happened about 2 months or so ago. I can't believe it has already been a year.
What a perfect day.
Now I get to brag about my husband.

500 ish (just kidding) reasons why I love Mark...
1. He is perfect for me.
2. He opens the door for me all the time.
3. He makes me breakfast every morning.
4. He warms up the car every morning.
5. He is very helpful around the house and with cooking.
6. He treats me like an absolute queen!!!!

Need I say more? I feel blessed beyond measure to be married to the man of my dreams.

Road Trip: Alabama

We went to Alabama to visit our buddies Mike, Heidi, and Mason and we had a wonderful time!On our journey, we stopped to go to the temple in Memphis. It was a beautiful, small temple and we snapped a pic right before entering. I had forgot my recommend, we missed the session by 15ish minutes, and there weren't enough workers to do anything else....so taking a picture is about all we did there :) Oh well, maybe next time.

We toured the beautiful city of Huntsville, celebrated Mike's B-day with pizza, watched Prince Caspian, played some Mexican Train Dominoes, Yahtzee, and Clue, had some friendly conversation, played with darling Mason, and even reminisced about the good ol' college days. What a great weekend! Thank you Andersons!!!

Good Bye Hottie Passaty

This is Mark in the drivers seat with his winter gloves on.
Due to a lack of heater in the VW, we wore winter clothes all vacation long, even in the car. :)

I guess what they say is true. "All good things must come to come to an end." One of our "good things" came to an end not too long ago. We traded in HOTTIE PASSATY for a Honda Accord. I must admit, I was more attached to my first car than I thought. I really missed my first night away from it. BUT, we love our new-to-us car!!! We are thinking of naming him "Hans" since it's a Honda. It's not quite as good as Hottie Passaty. We are taking any suggestions you have for us.

USU Graduation!!!

Wahoo!!! I am now a college graduate! (as of a few weeks ago...little behind on the blogging, I guess). It is such a relief to be finished with my Bachelors degree. I graduated in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Math. Utah State was a perfect place for me to go to school. I loved the student life, the campus, and the many friends I made there. I will miss it but am very happy to be finished too. I am enjoying my new job as a Math Specialist. I have 11 groups of 6 children for 30 minutes each day. I teach 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders. So far, it's exhausting and enjoyable at the same time!

Go Aggies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know that you are an UlTiMaTe aGgIe FaNaTiC when you go to a USU basketball game that is over 1,000 miles away from the spectrum.... What does that make us??? Yup, the Tews are HaRd CoRe aGgIe FaNs!!!! Last Thursday, we went to the USU vs LA Tech game and we had a great time. I guess LA Tech doesn't pack them in like USU does so we sat about five rows up from the court. I actually watched the game this time! :O At the other USU basketball games that I have attended, usually there are billions (ok, maybe a slight exaggeration) of crazy USU students standing in my sight, I don't have my glasses with me, and no one can hear the person talking that is standing right beside them. What great memories! Those were the good ol' days....Now we call ourselves alumni. We still love our team. GO AGGIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. I was T.O.ed when I realized I forgot our camera to have proof we were really there...this will have to do. This is us in our game day shirts in our lovely apartment in Texarkana.

Party, Party, and Party!!!

We were lucky enough to have 3 "Christmas Mornings!" We first celebrated at our home in Texarkana together on the 12th of December before traveling to Utah. We decided to buy a....laser printer/scanner/copier as a family gift. Wahoo! Mark received an A&M hoodie, travel size stuff, socks, and a shirt. I loved my salt and pepper grinder, shoes, clothes, and saf yeast.
Notice the lovely pink and black wedding cake bag.
Most of our stuff was wrapped in wedding sacks!!! Gotta love it.

Party number 2 was in St. George. The highlights were playing croquet, the Great Del Moody, Hand and Foot, doing Yoga, raiding Diane's spice collection, and Mark even managed to go golfing on Christmas Day with his brothers....wouldn't want to miss a day :)

Party in the house number 3 was in Grantsville. We had a great time with the family. Baby Elise was sealed to her family on the 26th, what a neat event!!! We quickly saw the lights on temple square because it was frigid outside. Playing Hex, Ticket to Ride, Boggle, and Ping Pong was a blast.
We had such a fabulous Christmas vacation in Utah!!!Heath, my cousin, and I performing at the Gundi party. Mark, Lace, and the sweet baby EliseA visit with Grandpa and Grandma Gundersen
It was wonderful to spend time with our families!
That is what we love about Christmas!!!
