I forgot to post our last fun date that we went on!!! We went to the Preston derby a couple weeks ago with Bryce and Sara. I had a great time. I don't know how "red neck" we are but going to a derby is one of our favorite dates to go on!

Gotta Love Crystal Light!

Lately, we have been trying to drink more water due to consecutive headaches for a week straight (lame) and washing windows in hot weather :) So, lately we've been using the mini Crystal Light packets that I inherited over a year ago when my roommate moved out and left a bag of them in our apartment. ha ha.
Anyway, we decided to try making Popsicles with the Water/Crystal Light mixture and they are quite tasty! The only drawback is, you are left with red lips, teeth, and a red tongue. I think I would still recommend it.
But just a warning: They aren't as good as Pace bars. Nothing tops the lime and peach flavored Pace bars!!!

PS I am brave to put this picture on...

Big News

Today we heard some BIG news! Mark got offered a Job/Masters program in Texas!!! We were quite excited. Looks like we'll be moving from our home in Utah to the far away land of Texarkana. He will be attending Texas A&M for a year then he will be getting some work experience for another 4 years. I'm a little scared of the unknown but excited at the same time :)

"I Like to Ride my Bicycle"

So I rode one of our bikes up to campus today. I about died trying to pedal that thing up the hill to campus!!! I ended up walking my bike up the hill then I tried to get back on at the top on a not so steep place. I couldn't get going! I tried like three times but it was still too steep. I was on my bike trying to petal but not going anywhere. I felt like I was about six years old trying to learn to ride a bike and balance again. Naturally, I looked around, hoping no one saw me because I looked like a complete dork. There happened to be another biker person not far from me down the hill pedaling as if it was no big deal. My bad vision came to benefit me at the moment because I couldn't see the person well enough to decide if I knew the person or not. I still felt really dorky. I walked my bike up about ten feet further and got on again. I don't know if it was my embarrassment, my legs, or the flat slope that actually got me going, nevertheless, I rode the rest of the way to the TSC. It was pretty funny. Hopefully the ride down won't be so bad! :)

Our Latest Purchases

We have been buying some fun things lately. I bought a headband, necklaces, and earrings from Clair's for 50 cents each! Mark purchased a new black suit with a slight tan stripe from Dillards along with new black socks. I also have been a little bit obsessed with Hobby Lobby lately. There's a confession :) I could spend hours in that place!!! Anyway, I bought some card making supplies (paper cutter, flower punch, cute paper, etc etc) as well as some cute hooks that we hang our aprons on in the kitchen. There was a 50% off sale and I couldn't pass up some great stuff for great deals! YAY!!!

Tin Foil Dinners

We wanted to jot down for the record that last weekend, we experienced the BEST tinfoil dinners we've ever had! We went up to the canyon with some other couples from our ward. Much to our surprise, there was a choice of chicken, salmon, or steak, potatoes, carrots, garlic, green peppers, onions, fresh chives, mixed veggies, and a TON of spices. I didn't even know where to start so I had the guy that planned the shin dig spice my dinner. He ended up putting a bit of everything in my dinner including pineapple, brown sugar, a little oil, cream of mushroom, and a bunch of other seasonings. Boy was it tasty! So, next time you attempt to make tinfoil dinners, remember the sugar and pineapple. You won't be disappointed.
